Washington Nyoni is a Chartered Engineer with over 15 years of experience in corrosion control. He holds the highest corrosion certifications from AMPP – Corrosion Specialist and Cathodic Protection Specialist credentials.
His career spans multiple regions, including Africa, the Middle East, and Australia, where he has played a pivotal role in the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of cathodic protection systems for onshore and offshore oil and gas infrastructure.
Washington’s expertise extends to protecting concrete structures, well casings, city water and gas distribution networks, and cross-country pipelines. He possesses extensive expertise in project management and the design and troubleshooting of cathodic protection transformer rectifier units.
Since 2017, he has been actively involved with AMPP in the development of the Cathodic Protection examination, a role he continues to fulfil, ensuring its ongoing improvement and alignment with industry standards.
